Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) is a leading, employee-owned staffing firm-the largest one founded by CPA firms. CFS helps companies locate, attract and hire exceptional accounting, finance & technology professionals. We are working with a start up in Rocky Hill, who is looking for an Assistant Controller.
Highlights of the position:

- General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledger Accounting
- Month-end &Year-end close
- Bank account reconciliations (multiple accounts)
- Preparation of monthly account reconciliation and analytical process
- Identify and resolve various accounting/reconciliation discrepancies
- Review equipment deposits, purchases and track fixed assets
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Monitor accounts to ensure GL accuracy
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivables functions as required (backup capacity)
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting, preferred
- The Assistant Controller should have 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
- Working knowledge of GAAP
